| Back to [ Craps Systems ] This is a field betting craps system. The field is generally considered a sucker's bet because it's a one-roll bet and only has a 44.4% probability of being rolled. The bonus pays on the 2 and 12 help sweeten the pot a little bit. While straight betting on the field each roll is not the best move in the house, the field can be a fun way to make money by altering the way you approach the bet. I have personally used this system in Las Vegas casinos and a friend of mine really hit it big one night using this system. It's an easy system to play and makes a good add-on system if you can keep a simple roll count in your head while doing other things. Field Bet Craps System
Alright, let's dive into this very simple field bet craps system. Here's the bottom line: You have a 44.4% probability to win each and every roll. The probability of hitting the field (or throwing outside of it) in consecutive rolls decreases as the number of consecutive rolls increase. Take a look at the probability numbers for rolling consecutive non-field numbers (5,6,7,8). Remember, the probability of hitting a non-field number is 55.6%. Probability of throwing consecutive non-field numbers: Two: 30.9% Three: 17.18% Four: 9.5% Five: 5.3% As you can see, the probability of losing your field bet goes down as the number of consecutive non-field numbers thrown increases. It's important to note that the true probability remains constant, but the running probability changes. Here's the system in a nutshell, pick a number (3,4,5) and wait until the non-field numbers have been thrown that many times consecutively then bet. For example, if you want to go with 3, you would wait until you see three non-field numbers rolled consecutively then bet. Example Rolls: 5,8,8, now bet. There are many ways to play this system. One way is to utilize a progression chain (IE 5,10,20,40,80). Another way is to simply use straight bets. If you use straight bets, you place one bet when it's time. Win or lose, the count starts over on the next roll. Here's a break down of both.
Straight Bet Example - betting $10 after 3rd non-field. Roll One: 8 (count: 1) Roll Two: 6 (count: 2) Roll Three: 5 (count: 3) Roll Four: Bet $10 - 8 (count: 1) Roll Five: 9 (count: 0) Roll Six: 6 (count: 1) Roll Seven: 7 (count: 2) Roll Eight: 6 (count 3) Roll Nine: Bet $10 - 9 (count: 0) Win.
Mini-Progression Bet (5,10,20) - Betting after fourth non-field. Roll One: 7 (count: 1) Roll Two: 7 (count: 2) Roll Three: 6 (count: 3) Roll Four: 8 (count: 4) Roll Five: Bet $5 - 7 (count: 5) Roll Six: Bet $10 - 9 (count: 0) Win
That's all there is to it. This craps system is very easy to play. You simply need to decide how patient you want to be and what betting system you wish to follow. Craps System Pros:
